Decision summary

A useful SEO and GEO solution reflects how your customer buys. A software evaluation, a franchise inquiry and a retail product purchase need different evidence and conversion steps. Choose the buying process that resembles your business, then adapt the content and measurement to the decisions within it.

Start with the decision, not the industry label

Two companies in the same sector can need different programs. A manufacturer selling standard catalog items may need specifications and availability; a manufacturer taking engineered projects may need design constraints and a qualification brief. Structure the website around that difference.

  • Self-directed purchase: product fit, total cost, availability and support.
  • Consultative sale: use case, constraints, stakeholders and a scoped next meeting.
  • Partner or franchise sale: operating requirements, responsibilities and a suitability review.

Create an evidence route for each buying role

Map the buyer’s first question to an explanation, then to supporting evidence and a next action. Technical reviewers should be able to inspect specifications; business sponsors should understand the use case and responsibilities. Avoid sending every visitor to the same generic company introduction.

When several audiences share a page, label the relevant paths clearly. Create separate pages only when the buying question and supporting information are meaningfully different.

Find your starting point.

A focused conversation can define the most useful first market and objective.
