Google AI search work connects your existing search foundations with the information buyers need to evaluate an offer. TANTU AI reviews important page groups, identifies access or content gaps and agrees how changes will be verified. AI Overviews and AI Mode are recorded as distinct surfaces when included in the research scope. Available publisher reporting, controlled answer observations and inquiry data are also kept separate, so you can judge the evidence each provides without treating a citation, a visit and a qualified lead as the same outcome.
Establish the foundation first
Google states that a page must be indexed and eligible for a Search snippet to appear as a supporting link in AI Overviews or AI Mode. It does not require a special AI file or dedicated schema type. See Google Search Central: AI features and your website.
Our technical review checks the intended canonical page, indexing directives, accessible text, navigation links and the consistency of visible information. A page blocked from discovery needs a different fix from a page that is available but fails to answer the buyer’s question.
Create content around a decision
A software buyer may need deployment options, integration requirements, commercial limits and a useful comparison. An equipment buyer may need operating conditions, supported formats and a quotation checklist. We use your product evidence to answer these questions in the pages closest to the sale.
A useful brief specifies the reader, the decision, the evidence owner and the action after reading. We avoid publishing several near-identical pages for small keyword variations. Subtopics become sections when they belong to the same decision.
Separate three workstreams
| Workstream | Typical output | Client input |
|---|---|---|
| Technical readiness | Prioritized crawl, canonical, template and internal-link issues | Search Console and CMS access where authorized |
| Buyer information | Revised service, product, comparison or use-case content | Approved specifications and subject-matter review |
| Commercial measurement | Landing-page and inquiry review with recorded changes | Analytics and sales outcomes, where available |
Implementation ownership is explicit: our team may supply a change brief while your development team deploys it. Large migrations, application development and third-party subscriptions require a separate scope.
Use the right evidence for each question
Use Search Console for search performance and, where available, its dedicated Generative AI performance report for AI impressions. These first-party records and controlled answer observations have different scopes. Keep them separate from site visits and qualified inquiry records; the current reporting and control documentation is linked below.
Compare similar periods, note publication dates and investigate demand, indexing and campaign changes. A higher sampled citation rate alone cannot establish incremental revenue. Where a platform does not show a source or an AI feature does not appear, record that outcome without inventing a position.
Choose an actionable starting point
Begin with one commercially important page group, such as your main product category and the questions that block its purchase. The review identifies what to retain, update, consolidate or create, then assigns an owner and acceptance evidence.
The $990 AI search diagnostic can include a Google AI search surface when it is available in the agreed market. A complete technical SEO audit or an implementation backlog beyond that diagnostic is separately confirmed.
Use a page-group readiness decision
Choose a commercially important group, such as product detail pages or service pages, and examine representative URLs. First ask whether the intended pages can be accessed and whether the available indexing evidence matches your intention. Then inspect whether each page answers the buyer’s decision with current facts, useful conditions and a relevant action. Assign the next task to the first unresolved issue rather than applying the same rewrite to every page.
For an illustrative product family, one page may have contradictory canonical signals while another is accessible but omits compatibility limits. The first needs technical investigation; the second needs approved product detail. The change brief should distinguish these causes and define the check for each. A successful technical retest confirms the specified behavior, while editorial acceptance confirms the improved answer. Neither completion condition requires a subsequent AI appearance, which remains an independently observed outcome.
Define the comparison before interpreting a trend
For every report, name the surface, source of data, date range and unit being counted. Keep AI Overviews observations separate from AI Mode observations. Where authorized reporting provides relevant AI data, identify the actual report and its available dimensions at the time of collection. Do not assume that publisher data and a controlled set of questions describe identical activity.
A useful review asks three separate questions: did the intended page change, what representation was observed, and what site or inquiry activity is available? Compare consistent page groups and record launches, offer changes or measurement changes that could affect interpretation. If the answer feature is absent in an observation, retain that outcome in the method record. If reporting coverage changes, annotate the break instead of joining unlike periods into one smooth trend. This makes the report useful for decisions without promising attribution that the evidence cannot establish.
Use Google’s current reports and inclusion controls
Google now documents a dedicated Generative AI performance report for AI Overview and AI Mode impressions. Where the report is available for the property, inspect pages, countries, devices and dates. Keep those impressions separate from controlled answer samples and from visits or inquiries; the report is not a prompt-level ranking or conversion log.
Review the property’s Search generative AI setting and any inherited parent setting. Inclusion is the documented default, so this is not a new mandatory opt-in. Eligibility does not guarantee an appearance. The setting concerns supported Search generative features and is separate from model-training controls.

Common questions
Can you guarantee an AI Overview placement?
No. Eligibility and useful content do not guarantee that an AI feature appears or that it cites your page.
Should we abandon conventional SEO?
No. Search accessibility, relevant pages and a strong conversion path support the same buyer journey. We organize the work under shared commercial priorities.
